To attend all faculty meetings.
To present proposed need for content or curriculum changes to administration.
To issue classroom orientation materials and classroom protocols to the students on the first day of class.
To establish testing procedures for the classroom, to maintain a record of grades and to submit ongoing records to administration.
To monitor, record and submit classroom attendance.
To issue written Warnings or recommend Probations for students in theory class.
To preview and select appropriate audiovisual aides.

To develop instructional materials including information sheets, modules, and testing materials at an appropriate level for the semester.
To act as liaison between students and nursing administration.
To adhere to all the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician regulations.
Maintain professional role as instructor. Refrain from personal, social involvement with students.
To conduct the theory presentation in an organized format based on curriculum.
To arrive prior to scheduled class time in order to organize activities.
To conduct NCLEX mock testing at the end of each component.

To schedule and attend a Pre-Planning Conference with the clinical facility.
To plan and organize the clinical learning experience and select appropriate related instructional devices, procedures, or materials for the achievement of student learning
To develop clinical rotations, distribute them to students, and post them in appropriate areas of the clinical facilities.
To distribute and post course objectives in specified units.
To orient the students to the clinical facility.
To utilize expertise to promote professional growth of students in the clinical setting.
To evaluate the student’s clinical written materials.

To evaluate student performance in the clinical setting utilizing the clinical objectives as evidenced:
- By making rounds with each student and discussing nursing care
- By verifying student documentation of vital signs, intake and output,
- By utilizing post conference to verify learning by promoting objectives for each patient for that day. Treatments, narrative charting, flow charting, and medications. Discussions of objectives that were met during the clinical day (e.g., NCLEX review sessions, medication administration, laboratory tests, assessments, diagnostic studies, etc.)

To adhere to the philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of the institute and clinical facilities.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff personnel in clinical facilities.
To attend all faculty meetings.
To contact the Clinical Supervisor at least bi-weekly, or more frequently if need arises, in areas such as student attendance, clinical incidence, or student progress.
To notify the student via verbal and written notification of misconduct or anticipated non-completion of objectives (clinical failure) before the end of the semester whenever possible.

To adhere to all the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician regulations.
To arrive prior to student arrival in order to post-assignments and organize the days activities.
To maintain a professional role as an instructor refrain from personal and social involvement with students.
To call attendance to administration daily and send written attendance sheets weekly.
