As a Vocational Nurse, you will be providing basic hygienic and nursing care, measurement of vital signs, basic client assessment, documentations, performance of prescribed medical treatments, and administration of prescribed medications. Administering none-medicated intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal requires a separate board certification.
It pays very well and it is a secure job where you will find economical stability. The best part? The hours are very flexible. Hospitals have to operate 24/7, and if you work for a private sector such as a nursing home or with a family, the hours tend to be flexible as well. Being able to choose your preferred shift will allow you to have time for yourself, family, friends, or even to pursue another degree!
